THE FIRST

Another provocative work from the series dedicated to the world of fast food features an iconic figure of Jesus Christ, reinterpreted by Daniele Oldani as a decidedly irreverent Ronald McDonald. This fast food deity approaches the viewer with a solemn, almost liturgical gesture, stating one of his commandments: “You shall have no Burger King before me.”

The powerful and ironic phrase is made even more effective by the use of the unmistakable Burger King logo, which contrasts with the figure of the “McDonald-Christ” from which it originates.
